Why have a bounty board?

While anyone can post and get 100% of the ad revenue, bounties are a way for creators to earn additional guaranteed income.

Users submit proposals for bounties. If their proposal is accepted, they'll receive the bounty award after their submission is uploaded and approved by a Nalu partner.

The bounty board is a way to help kickstart content creation on a new Nalu. Partners can also utilize the bounty board to help manage content creation for a particular Nalu.

How it works?

Each Nalu has its respective bounty board accessible at /b/all. You can find a link on the left sidebar. For this example, we'll use the sample bounty board from the /nalu Nalu.

Workflow

Open Bounties

Until their claim period ends, bounties are open to accept claim proposals. The bounty below has a claim period that ends in 10 days.

Bounties award "NP" or Nalu points upon submission and approval. 100 NP is always equal to $1 (USD). The award for the bounty below is 4,000 NP, or $40. To set it up, navigate to the payouts page on your user dashboard.

Submitting a claim proposal

Anyone can submit a claim proposal, and you can continue to edit your claim proposal until the claim period ends.

A good claim proposal explains why you'd be the right fit to complete the bounty. What unique angle or perspective do you offer that would separate your submission from everyone else? Maybe you've created similar pieces of content in the past? You can view your submitted proposals on your bounty claims page.

Closed Bounties

When the claim period ends, the bounty creator, typically a Nalu partner, will select the proposal that "won" the bounty.

The user whose claim was accepted has to upload their submission before the submission due date. Failure to upload a post when it's due adds a "black mark" to your account. Nalu partners will see this mark when reviewing future claims. The mark will be removed after a certain period.

After your submission is uploaded, the respective Nalu partner will approve or deny your submission. Once approved, you'll see a new payout entry on your payouts dashboard.

Payouts are processed through Stripe on a net-45 basis. For example, if a bounty is completed in October, the payout for that bounty will be processed in mid-December.
